If you want to stun your bride and wedding guests during the ceremony, get an owl to fly down the aisle to be the ring bearer!
That’s what one groom from Sunderland did.
Shaun Palmer surprised his bride Adele, and the wedding guests by organizing a barn owl to fly down the aisle with the wedding rings attached to its foot. There were gasps by family and friends as the owl made it’s entrance down the aisle.
The barn owl, named Bilbo after Bilbo Baggins from Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, landed safely on the best man’s arm. Only the groom and best man knew about the plan. Once the rings were unattached, Bilbo flew back down the aisle to its handler.
The moment was captured on camera and has been viewed on youtube over 100,000 times. It was one hoot of a wedding surprise!
